Still haven't implemented them properly for this site (I mean I a little bit did since they should be showing up as categories in feeds) but I just noticed that my site displays them in alphabetical order not the order I wrote them. Given how I store them, I think that makes sense but I'm definitely not sorting them at any point during the process.
